Lesson Learned:
- In many cases, property agents can’t keep up to date on DLD regulations. In this case, I spent a lot of time trying to get an NoC from the developer while it was not required at all.
- The buyer wanted to get part of the property in the name of a family member while his bank approval was on his name only. This lack of information caused further delay in transfer.
- While both above points were a delay by external bodies, once we were all in the DLD office, the transfer happened very fast. This proves that Dubai real estate is best example of good governance.
